Resolved Question: If I live an hour away from Madison, Wisconsin?
I might be moving from Virginia to a home in Columbia, Dodge, or Marquette (maybe Dane) counties where I could teach for the Dane County/Madison public school system (High School Spanish). I might teach in other school systems in those specific counties as well.

I know that snow in WI can be brutal, but realistically speaking I would be an hour away from my work. Is it realistic to be such a distance from school considering snow? How are the roads taken care of there? How do people drive in high amounts of snow?

What I really want is a property worth around $120,000 near a lake or a river.

Since we don’t get even a comparable amount of snow in Virginia, I’m left with superficial ideas about how Wisconsinites deal with their snow. If there, per se, is 20 inches of snow on the ground and I live an hour away from school, what would happen? Would I call in a substitute or something like that? Or am I absolutely obligated to come to work?

I prefer not to live in the city.

Resolved Question: Do you actually get a trespassing ticket for entering private property?
My friend and I were in Wisconsin at a hotel, and across the street there was a lake with boats and a dock. Anyway, there was a stair looking thing from the street & if you went down then you’d be on a bridge (on the water) & there were boats tied up there. So my friend and I started just running up and down and just playing around when we noticed a guy on the boat next to us was looking at us like we were crazy. So we went back up and noticed there was a huge sign that said “Warning, no trespassing, authorized personal only. Area under surveillance 24/7.” It was about 4 days ago. Do you think something will actually happen?
Well, we went back after the people on the boat were gone…but we really didn’t think anything would ever happen. And it probably was just a sign to scare us, right?

Again, bringing us back to the first issue of not knowing how to set up a domain name.

One positive aspect of the SIMs program, is that it introduces people to online marketing. It may not be a realistic depiction of the ease at which internet income can be created, however it does allow one to begin thinking about, and researching, online money making opportunities. There are many other ways to make money on the web other than marketing, such as paid surveys and data entry work. The program does contain some decent information on how to make simple money online.

Can the SIM program really help one to make a million dollars?

I think that the SIM program does not do what it claims, which is to help people to make money fast. I do not believe that the program itself can help one to create a million dollar income either. The bottom line is that the SIM program simply does not teach enough techniques for one to know exactly how to make a decent income online.

Foreclosure – What Actually Happens

More and more homes have been going into foreclosure over the past year or two than ever before. One reason is the poor economy overall, but perhaps the biggest reason is the sub-prime lending fiasco of the past few years that allowed too many people to enter into mortgages they shouldn’t have or couldn’t keep up with.

When a home is foreclosed on, it means that the bank or lender has obtained a court order terminating the loan agreement and can take possession of the property back from the signer. This would be the bank that underwrote the original loan or mortgage agreement.

When someone takes a mortgage or home loan, the lender obtains a security interest from the borrower who mortgages or pledges an asset like a house to secure the loan. If the borrower defaults on payment, the lender or mortgage holder can try to repossess the property. This is a foreclosure.

While the main reason for foreclosure is failure to pay the mortgage note or loan, it isn’t the only reason. Property tax that hasn’t been paid, overdue HOA dues or assessments, even unpaid contractor bills are all problems than can lead to a foreclosure action.

The foreclosure process as it relates to a residential mortgage loan happens when the bank or other secured creditor takes possession of the property after the owner has failed to comply with the mortgage agreement. Most commonly, this is happens as a failure to meet payment of the home loan.

Once foreclosure begins, the lender will usually try to recover their principle and legal costs by selling the property. This is what foreclosing on the mortgage or loan actually is.
