I am relocating to Florida next summer and I am worried about alligators. My fiancee grew up in Hollywood, Florida and assures me that he didn’t see gators unless he went out looking for them- but I don’t want to encounter one. I am looking to move to an apartment in Fort Lauderdale and the property says it has a small lake in it. (you know those small apartment lakes that are more like a pond) what are the odds that alligators reside there? I am 100 percent serious, I have small kids and I don’t want to walk down to the pool or the playground and find an ugly surprise awaiting… lol. any info on gators in Fort Lauderdale would be appreciative. The apartment we are looking at is Royal Palms at Inverrary- 10 miles from the beach… Thanks again
Resolved Question: Is it legal to hunt with a compound bow in a residential area (private lake), in Cobb county georgia?
I was just minding my own business in my back yard, when I saw two guys in the lake (part of which is my property); hunting with a compound bow. Now, I understand that compound bows aren’t fire arms, but it seems to me that a compound bow is just as deadly when it hits a person. I talked to a police officer, and they said that it depends on what they are hunting, and as long as they aren’t on my property, it isn’t a crime… and that if the guys were hunting something on someone else’s property with permission, it was legal. So here I am still wondering how it is legal to float around behind my house shooting a deadly weapon, and unsure if the police officer really knew if the hunters were in the right. I certainly don’t trust anyone else’s judgement when it comes to hunting at night in a densely populated subdivision… and yes, it was dark.
